I am still playing around with my image assignment. I haven't really linked it to my site yet but it is uploaded on the mason server. Here is an example of the colorizing project that I am working on. I still have lots to do but I am making progress on this and am generally happy so far. I have used layers for the different areas, like the trees and the rocks, in order have the most flexibility when I make mistakes. I need to practice a few more clean-up skills so I am looking for another B&W Image. Maybe my first mammoth picture or there is a great picture of a guy at a museum exhibit looking up at mammoth bones that might be nice.
Nice picture, but it is not possible to see the progress, since the original picture is absent. Could you post it? Thanks!

It looks like you have taken on an ambitious project. I started doing different layers for each color, but somehow I screwed that up and kept coming back to a pewter color I was using for background. My work still looks like something done by a first grader primarily because the detail drives me crazy. Take heart! Your works looks good, and you at least have some artistic skills compared to me.

Hi George!
I think you have great contrast going with the blacks and whites in your image. Any chance you could post the "before" pic as well? Any particular reasons for the colors you chose? I like the brown you chose and the greens you are using in the trees. As a humble suggestion, you might want to go less green-blue and more of a subdued blue-blue for the sky. Also, a lighter version of that nice brown you are using might work well for the ground. Looking forward to seeing your other images, George! ...and I hope you can keep that cool font we talked about on your final site. :)

Hello. I appreciate the feedback. I have several versions of this image on my image assignment site including write-up on what I did to those versions but I didn't really want to post that url yet. If you really want to see the original I would be glad to share it in class tomorrow.
Toni...I think you are right about the brown vs that yellow for the ground.
Thanks again for the feedback.
